Volunteer
Volunteering at Wild Hearts Equine Therapy Center is more than just “volunteering.” It opens up an entirely new horizon as you play a vital role in the power of equine-assisted therapy and learning programs. We hope you will arrive ready to lend a hand and leave feeling like you have become a part of something much bigger than yourself. Seeing the difference you make in the life of one of our clients can become an awe-inspiring experience.
We look forward to welcoming you into the Center’s family.

Volunteer Training Requirements
Our passion for our programs, horses, and clients is never more evident than in our volunteer training program.
- All new volunteers are required to attend a total of 22 hours of training spread over six weeks. Includes two hours per week of group training plus 10 hours of hands-on client session training.
- Each weekly training agenda is jam packed with information and builds upon the week before, so we ask that you commit to attending all 6 weeks (typically Tuesdays from 9a-11a).
- We ask for a $50 donation to cover the cost of materials (which includes a take home binder of training materials) and a Wild Hearts T-shirt at the completion of the course.
- Once you are trained, your participation as a volunteer is on your time and in accordance with your schedule. Consistency is the key to connection, trust and growth. So, you’ll choose days/times that work for you on a consistent basis.
- When you plan to be out of town, have visiting guests or the like, you’ll just let us know in advance and we’ll find a sub for you.
